Do Not Be Afraid

The command “Do not be afraid” occurs so often in scripture that it would be ridiculous for us to ignore it. And yet, we so often do. Be encouraged by the many ways God acknowledges and speaks into our fears.

• Do not be afraid….I am your shield, your very great reward. Genesis 15:1
• Do not be afraid….for I am with you. Genesis 26:24
• Do not be afraid….for I will make you into a great nation. Genesis 46:3
• Do not be afraid….for I have delivered him into your hands. Numbers 21:34
•  Do not be afraid….do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
• Do not be afraid….I have given them into your hand. Not one of them will be able to withstand you. Joshua 10:8
•  Do not be afraid….because by this time tomorrow I will hand all of them, slain, over to Israel. Joshua 11:6
•  Do not be afraid….You are not going to die. Judges 6:23
•  Do not be afraid….of what you have heard. 2 Kings 19:6
