A Personal and Powerful God Who Sees Me

It can be so easy sometimes to get lost in our circumstances and wonder if God is even there. As you read these verses, may you be reminded that God is never far away.

He has a plan for you that is good…

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

He dries your tears…

He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. Psalm 116:8 (NLT)

He thinks of you often…

Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us; There is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of them, they would be too numerous to countPsalm 40:5 (NASV)

He made you intimately…

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. Psalm 139:14 (NIV)

You are never alone…

I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised youGenesis 28:15 (NIV)

He sustains you…

Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. Psalm 55:22 (NASB)

He hears you…

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.  And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him1 John 5:14-15 (ESV)

When your spirit is crushed He is there…

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. Psalm 34:18 (NLT)

He gives you all you need…

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Phillipians 4:19 (ESV)

His knowledge of you is intimate…

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completelyPsalm 139:1-4

He holds you..

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV)

He gives you peace, even in trouble…

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the worldJohn 16:33 (NIV)

He helps gives you confidence when people are against you…

So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?” Hebrews 13:6 (NLT)

He never tires from caring for you…

He will not let your foot slip –  he who watches over you will not slumber. Psalm 121:3 (NIV)

He gives you a way out when tempted…

But remember this—the wrong desires that come into your life aren’t anything new and different. Many others have faced exactly the same problems before you. And no temptation is irresistible. You can trust God to keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can’t stand up against it, for he has promised this and will do what he says. He will show you how to escape temptation’s power so that you can bear up patiently against it1 Corinthians 10:13 (TLB)

He is aware of all in your life…

He knows every detail of what is happening to me. Job 23:10 (TBL)

He made you like Him…

Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us.” Genesis 1:26 (NLT)

He dwells within you…

Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16 (NKJV)

He gives you rest when you are burdened…

Come to me, all of you who are tired and have heavy loads, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28 (NCV)

He looks on you with compassion…

For the Lord consoles his people and shows compassion to the oppressedIsaiah 49:13 (NET)

He comforts you in your grief…

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comfortedMatthew 5:4 (NASB)

He gives peace when all around you is chaos…

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraidJohn 14:27 (NIV)
