How to Make a Weekend Out of a Collide Conference

As our conferences grow and women begin to invite their friends from near and far, we’ve noticed an increase in the number of ladies who travel for our events. We absolutely love to meet new faces from everywhere from Seattle to Portland to Vancouver B.C. and further. If YOU are planning to travel for one of our conferences this year (or if you just want to make a “staycation” out of the weekend or invite a friend to visit if you’re local), we’ve compiled a guide for making it as fun-filled and delicious as possible with a few of our favorite stops and recommendations in beautiful Bellingham where we’re headquartered.

If you’re staying the night…head to breakfast the next morning at the Mount Bakery. From delicate homemade pastries to hearty brunch dishes, it’s the perfect place to wind down and chat with a friend or significant other about all that God did in your heart and mind at the conference the night before. Taking some time to de-brief the evening is one of the best ways to process what you learned and how you’ll take it with you into your everyday life.

If you’re looking for a late night snack after the conference…AB Crepes is a high-energy atmosphere for a sweet or savory treat that’s open until 2:30am on the weekends. Ride that conference high all the way downtown to keep the fun going after you walk out the door and continue the exciting evening with your friends.

If you have some time before the conference begins…take a walk at Boulevard Park or browse around Village Books in Fairhaven. If you get in to town early, one of the best things you can do is take some quiet time to prepare your heart for the evening ahead. Boulevard Park has a long boardwalk right on the water that is perfect for a contemplative stroll with a breathtaking view.

If you’re staying the whole weekend…and are looking for activities to do in Bellingham, The Downtown Bellingham site is an amazing resource to check out for local events and further recommendations that are more than worth extending your trip for. So, whether you’re taking the bus or train here, flying in from out of state, or simply driving across town, we CAN’T WAIT to see you at our upcoming fall conference, and our winter and spring events, too!
